Gold is at a  new 6 week low, Gina Sanchez, CEO of Chantico Global, Ari Wald of Oppenheimer  discuss the yellow metal’s next move with Eric Chemi.

Gina shares that the fundamentals for gold, in the long term, are not very good; if you look at how gold tends to perform, it moves opposite interest rates or the dollar, and if you look long term expectations for the interest rates they are probably going up because we are in a rate normalization cycle.  Gina says, it may be slow, but it’s definitely up and the dollar will strengthen with it.  Furthering, Gina says that we will expect gold to trace downward as it has.  There are always going to be short term moments where you have increased geopolitical uncertainty and that will always drive gold back up.
